AnaLog Services, Inc. is often asked to upgrade old radiation logging tools. We have converted Geiger-Mueller gamma-ray detector tools to scintillation detector tools, we have installed bond kill circuits in just about every brand of tool ever made, we have installed "divide-by" circuits in tools used for high count rate applications, we have installed improved downhole CCL amps, we have converted low voltage tools (GO/GOI/MLS COSMOS tools) to 120 volt operation, we have converted old tube / Nuvistor tools to completely solid state operation, and on and on. Over the years, we have developed a series of circuits using some of the best elements of the many designs out there. We have come to call this collection of useful circuit modules the "106 Tool" collection. Specific printed circuit boards (PCBs) listed below can be used to upgrade or repair tools, or an entire electronics section can be assembled from scratch using several PCBs (as in reworking an old tube / Nuvistor tool). All 106 Tool PCBs use readily obtainable components, which parts will continue to be available for many years to come. Even the high voltage power supply PCB uses a readily available off-the-shelf inexpensive transformer, not an expensive proprietary transformer found in every commercially available radiation tool on the market.
Contact us if you have tools needing an upgrade, or if you wish to obtain 106 Tool PCBs for your own project.
