AnaLog Services Acquires WIDCO / AAERO (GO / MLS) Assets

Reynolds Station, KY - April 1, 2008 - AnaLog Services, Inc. acquires the inventory of Lonnie Wyatt's WIDCO and AAERO Companies.   The inventory was in storage in Godley, Texas, and required multiple truck loads to relocate it to AnaLog's warehouse in Western Kentucky.  Included in the acquisition is a huge inventory of repair parts, surface and downhole logging equipment, and extensive documentation.  The majority of the inventory was Mineral Logging Systems (MLS) property placed in storage by Halliburton after they acquired Gearhart and subsequently shut down MLS.   Said inventory was eventually purchased by Mr. Wyatt, but included with the MLS material was also a large amount of GO / GOI and Halliburton inventory, and even Marvin Gearhart's old desk.  If you run GO / GOI / MLS equipment, AnaLog can help.  See A Brief Opinionated History of Logging Equipment Manufacturers for a little GO / GOI / MLS history.

Reynolds Station, KY - May 8, 2006 - AnaLog Services, Inc. announces stock availability of the Codatron HTZ low temperature coefficient (TC) high voltage shunt regulator.  The Codatron HTZ can replace the Victoreen Corotron in applications requiring an extremely low temperature coefficient.  The Codatron HTZ regulator series gives superior regulation over rapid temperature changes with guaranteed specifications from -55°C (-67°F) to 177°C (350°F) for the Standard model, and guaranteed specifications from -75°C (-103°F) to 204°C (400°F) for the Grade "A" model.  There is no other high voltage regulator on the market that can approach its performance.  The Codatron HTZ is a stock item in two different maximum temperature ratings, and is also available customized by special order (the temperature coefficient can be tailored to specification).  The Codatron HT also remains available, and is the perfect solution for many applications.  See our Codatron Regulator Family Overview page for more detailed information and access to technical data sheets.

Codatron HT™ High Voltage Regulator Now Available
TitanTwo™ Renamed Codatron HT™

AnaLog Services Issues Safety Warning

Reynolds Station, KY - September 27, 2005 - Analog Services, Inc. was asked to modify an amplified surface CCL panel by a customer, and in the process a serious safety issue has been identified.  If you are using an Applied (AES) surface CCL meter unit model CCL-030* (powered by AC line voltage), take it out of service immediately ; it is unsafe and should be modified by a competent service facility.  Any surface CCL unit deriving its power from a source other than the truck battery 12 volt DC supply should also be reviewed for safety by competent service personnel because there are some other unsafe designs that have been manufactured in the past.  If you have any doubt about the safety of any surface CCL unit, have it looked at promptly.

*It is not known if other AES products containing a CCL meter suffer from the same unsafe design problem.

AnaLog Services Acquires Ed Norman Electronics Estate

Reynolds Station, KY - July 31, 1999 - AnaLog Services, Inc. acquires the logging electronics estate of Ed Norman and related companies in Tyler, Texas.  Ed was a good friend and a unique character; he will be sorely missed.  A few friends called him "Mr. Haney" (of Green Acres fame) because of his propensity to accumulate logging electronics junk of every form and fashion.  Ed was considered by many to be the granddaddy of the Chlorine tool; he ran the Chlorine log in East Texas for decades.  Many of Ed's custom made test instruments and fabrication jigs are now an honored part of the AnaLog shop.  His collection of schematics is an invaluable addition to the AnaLog library.
